    Review: Coloured Raine Liquid Lipsticks

I have been procrastinating about buying products from Coloured Raine for years and I can’t even give a good reason why. Now that I’ve gotten my hands on just a few of their products I want to kick myself for not hopping on this train sooner. I picked up their liquid lipsticks in the shades 2AM, Royal, and Jade. I, for some reason, gravitate towards bold colors and I love the selection that Coloured Raine offers in both vibrant shades and more subtle shades. Each liquid lipstick retails for $17 but, I bought these during one of their holiday sales and received each item in my order for 50% off.…

You Are Now Uninvited: Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint Review

It’s been a tumultuous few months so I haven’t been blogging like I would like to. Depression, PTSD symptoms kicking all the way up, got a new job, then lost said job, etc. It’s been hard. I haven’t been wearing much makeup or buying many new things, but I did remain on the Fenty Beauty train because…. Rihanna, duh. One of my latest acquisitions was the Stunna Lip Paint in Uninvited since I have yet to meet a black lipstick I didn’t want. Let me start out by stating that I love the formula. My Top 5 Affordable Makeup Brush Brands

Makeup gets complicated at times ……and expensive. When you are first getting into it, people tell you that high-end everything is the way to go. If it doesn’t come from Sephora or MAC it’s trash. I’m here to tell you that this is a lie. I am a makeup hoarder, yes, but only because I’ve learned that going high-end for everything isn’t necessary. Yes, quite a bit of my stash is on the pricier side, but most of what I have is drugstore or indie brands. This includes my brushes. Brushes are just as important as the products you use. Using a crappy brush with an expensive product means you…

AJ Crimson Liquid Lipstick: Ruby Who?

This was an IMATS buy, and no I haven’t just been too lazy to get around to writing this review. It’s actually just been on back order for that long because of how popular it is. And it’s popular for all the right reasons. AJ Crimson happens to be one of my favorite makeup artists because of his dedication to women of color. Especially in terms of proving that bright colors on dark skin are not taboo, but beautiful. His makeup range has some of the deepest, richest, most melanin friendly shades of any company and the quality is outstanding.  Now onto my first product review. I fell in love…

I’m Back Like Cooked Crack With A New Review

I know I haven’t been out here in these blogging streets for some time, but a week after Makeup and Mania’s 1 year anniversary I’m back with the jumpoff. I’ve gotten so new products to try out and you all will reap the glory of me emptying my bank account. My first new purchase that I will be discussing are liquid lipsticks from Cache´ Appeal.  I found this company from a Facebook group that I’m in that is completely unrelated to makeup. We were discussing Black owned businesses and the pictures of people wearing their products piqued my interest. The colors are vibrant and fun, and the price point was…
