Review: Juvia’s Place Magic Palette and Saharan Blush Vol. 1 Palette

It hurts my heart to not have a glowing review for these palettes. I wouldn’t say are total throwaways, but as far as Juvia’s Place palettes go, these are my least liked. Don’t let the swatches fool you. Let’s start with the Magic Palette. It’s not the colors that are the issue in the Magic Palette, it is the formula of certain colors. As usual Juvia’s Place pulls off the earthy tones well. Even the red shade, Kogi, is amazing. Highly pigmented and easy to blend. But when you get to the dark shades like Ife, Aja, and Yejide it’s a struggle to get them to work. They are patchy…

Review: BH Cosmetic’s It’s My RayeRaye Palette

I bought this palette as soon as it dropped. I appreciate one of my fave vloggers collabing with a brand that is not only affordable but has proven to make good quality products. I swear off buying new palettes every month and every month I break this resolution smh. But I won’t get into my hoarding behavior in regards to makeup. Let’s get into the nitty-gritty of the palette. Pros: Very good pigmentation in the eyeshadows, contour, and highlight shades The darkest contouring shade is pigmented enough and dark enough to show up on deeper skin tones Affordable Easy to blend Good mix of mattes and shimmers Great colors for brown…

    My Journey To Better Brows

I tend to go through makeup phases. At one point it was finding the best foundations. At another, who made the best primer. Currently, I am on the lookout for the best brow products. Whether it’s a pencil, a powder, or a pomade. I was hoping to find a cheaper alternative to the Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) Dipbrow Pomade, but alas, I had no such luck. Why so many brow products end up looking gray on me is just…ugh.  So I just bought the Dipbrow Pomade again and threw in the towel. But I will run down a couple of my hits and misses. Beauty Treat Eyebrow Gel I picked up…

My Top 5 Affordable Makeup Brush Brands

Makeup gets complicated at times ……and expensive. When you are first getting into it, people tell you that high-end everything is the way to go. If it doesn’t come from Sephora or MAC it’s trash. I’m here to tell you that this is a lie. I am a makeup hoarder, yes, but only because I’ve learned that going high-end for everything isn’t necessary. Yes, quite a bit of my stash is on the pricier side, but most of what I have is drugstore or indie brands. This includes my brushes. Brushes are just as important as the products you use. Using a crappy brush with an expensive product means you…

    Review: Milk Makeup Blur Stick

I am a primer hoarder. Mainly because I have oily skin and I’ll do just about anything to combat it. On that note, I think I may have found my holy grail primer for oily skin. It is the Milk Makeup Blur Stick. Don’t let the fact that it could easily be mistaken for deodorant fool you. This primer has been holding me down all summer, without irritating my skin or causing breakouts. If you have dry skin, I would not recommend this at all. With the seasons changing and the need to adjust my skincare regimen, I’ve used some products that had my skin feeling like a Starbucks napkin…
